The Detroit-based duo Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. will release their debut full-length It’s a Corporate World June 7. Last year the band put out a four-track EP (listen to it here) and they just released the first single from the upcoming record, a song called “Morning Thought”. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. have a great thing going musically, staying close to the sounds of the Beach Boys (who they covered on the Horse Power EP) but experimenting with electronic and other un-conventionally produced sounds. The band has occasionally been overshadowed by their shtick-y NASCAR uniforms and American pride stage set-ups, but the full-length will hopefully show us what they’re really all about.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. plays Schubas this Friday, March 25. Show starts at 10 pm, is 21+, and costs $12.
